Different Tattoo Removal Methods Used by Us

The process of tattoo removal is as old as the process of tattooing itself. From the old times, people have been tattoos for many different reasons and then trying to remove it once there purpose it done. And as the methods have evolved from skin peeling to laser treatments, tattoo removal has become safer and less risky. Here are methods that can be used for tattoo removal.

Different Tattoo Removal Methods

  • Peeling Treatment

One of the oldest process used for removing a is done through the peeling of the upper skin layer where tattoo resides. In medical terms, this method is known Salabrasion, in which the peeling is done with the help of a salt-based solution. 

Apart from Salabrasion, Dermabrasion was also very popular for tattoo removal. In this method, an object with an abrasive surface is used. This abrasive object then rubbed on the tattooed surface and peeled off the upper skin layers. 

  • Skin Excision

It is another method that has been used for the process of tattoo removal. It is a surgical procedure in which the tattooed skin is removed. This method can be very painful and always leaves a scar. The size of the scar may vary depending on the size of the tattoo.

  • Injection Method

As the name injection method suggests, in this method, a solution injected into the tattooed skin in order to remove it. General glycolic acid is used in this process, which is injected into the epidermis and dermis layer of the skin. Moreover, the effectiveness of this process is not proven, and it can result in skin damage. 


  • Laser Tattoo Removal Treatment

Laser tattoo removal treatment is a new age method that is used for tattoo removal. In this, the tattooed skin is exposed to a Q-Switch laser. The heat of the laser shatters the ink into tiny particles, and these particles are then flushed out by the immune system of our body. 

Conclusion

Tattoos can be removed, but the process involved in this can be very painful and damaging. It can leave redness, scars, and wounds, which can take some time to heal. So, if you are planning on getting a tattoo, be sure that you want it.
